Taj Mahal Sunrise Half Day Tour from Agra

The tour starts at 5:30 AM from your Agra hotel to ensure you arrive at the Taj Mahal's East Gate when it opens at 6:00 AM (summer) or 6:30 AM (winter). You will be among the very first visitors inside, enjoying the monument in near-solitude with stunning sunrise light.

Yes, this particular half-day tour departs from Agra. If you are coming from Delhi and wish to experience the Taj at sunrise, we recommend our full-day Taj Mahal by Express Train tour (Tour 5) which departs from Delhi early morning.

You will have approximately 1.5–2 hours inside the Taj complex. This is sufficient to see the main mausoleum, the beautiful gardens, the reflecting pool, the mosque, and take photographs from all key vantage points. Your guide will share the full history and architectural details.

The Taj Mahal at sunrise is a completely different experience from any other time of day. The soft golden light, the mist rising from the Yamuna River, the near-empty gardens — many guests say it was the most beautiful thing they have ever seen, even on a repeat visit.

Entry tickets are not included. The fee is approximately INR 1,300 for foreign nationals. We strongly recommend purchasing in advance online at asi.payumoney.com to avoid queues. Your guide can assist with this on the day if needed.
